Taste And See God’s Goodness

God is good! The goodness of God is more that a fuzzy religious idea. It is a real thing. You can taste the goodness of God. You can see it. The goodness of God is palatable and observable. Psalm 34:8 says so. “Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good;

Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” NKJV

You taste God’s goodness whenever you eat chocolate. You see the goodness of God when you watch a baby learning to walk.

The goodness of God is showered on every person on earth: “for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” Matthew 5:45

But the point of Psalm 34:8 is that those who trust God are blessed. They experience His goodness in unique and special ways.

God often responds to our prayers offered in faith, and to our acts of faith, with unimaginable and unexpected blessings. Ephesians 3:20 MSG “God can do anything, you know - far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. “

The dynamic duo of Praying in faith, and Acting in faith, are the: Essence of trusting God, and the Substance of trusting God.

Jesus said; “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24 ESV

So, faith prays believing, and acts, trusting that God has answered. That’s why James says; “For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.” James 2:26 ESV

Act in faith on what you say you believe in prayer. That opens the door for God to do His far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams.
